/KASE, May 5, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), a company listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), issued a statement: Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008., on May 4, 2009 the Company acquired 2,150 common shares on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange at an average price KZT16,186.05 a share. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 4,816,697 GDRs and 98,220 common shares.
