BTA Bank subsidiary-Temirbank (Kazakhstan) informs on preliminary results of disbursement of funds within mortgage loan refinance program

/KASE, May 5, 09/ - BTA Bank subsidiary-Temirbank (Almaty), a company listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release: Quotation beginning On April 27, 2009 Temirbank summarized on disbursement of funds allotted to the bank by National wellbeing fund Samruk-Kazyna within the mortgage loan refinance program. As for today Temirbank received over 1800 applications for KZT6,731,266,232, of which the bank accepted 1100 applications for KZT4.6 bn. Over 380 credits for over KZT1.5 bn. were approved and issued. 134 credits for KZT513,630,223 were approved and are planned for issue next week. Apart from the state program the bank is using its own schemes to help clients: deferral of payment, loan term prolongation, monthly payment reduction, and restructuring, cancellation of fine and penalties, "transfer of debt from a borrower to a new client".
