Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan informs on implementation of three government programs

/KASE, April 30, 09/ - Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan (Almaty), the listed
company of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), informs on active
implementation of three government programs - crediting SMB jointly with Fund
Damu, crediting of the real economy sector and refunding of hypothecary loans at
the expense of NWF Samruk-Kazyna aimed at stabilizing the domestic economy
and improvement of the country people welfare.
As of April 29 of this year within Fund Damu program were drawn
KZT8,222,690.6 th. or over 70% from the total volume of allocated funds to the
bank for SMB support. At this 78% of used funds for refunding and 22% for
credits funding. Most actively are credited the following sectors: trade, industry
and services. The majority of funds were drawn in Astana City, East Kazakhstan,
Aktobe and Kostanai Regions.
During the same period the bank considered and approved clients projects from
the real economy sector to the amount of KZT39,078 m, including refunding
LZT20,181 m. Projects for KZT20,464 m are being considered. At this the bank
gives preferences to energy and communications services to the population, food
industry, services and transport.
As of April 29, 2009 for refunding of hypothecary loans were submitted 2304
applications to the amount of KZT8,314 m, were drawn (made positive decisions)
on 1850 applications to the amount of KZT5,527 m.
We remind that in January 2009 Halyk Bank received KZT60 bn to credit
Kazakhstan real economy sector in such strategically important fields as
production and social infrastructure, energy, agriculture and food industry,
transport and communications, whole and re-tail trade, services, machinery,
metallurgy, oil and gas.
In the first decade of March of this year the bank received KZT24 bn to refund
hypothecary loans and at the end of February of 2009 - KZT11.7 bn to credit
SMB companies. These funds must be drawn till June 1, 2009 to refunds
hypothecary loans and till July 1, 2009 to credit SMB companies from the day of
funds inflow to the bank from NWF Samruk-Kazyna and Fund Damu.
