/KASE, April 24, 09/ - Financial Institutions' Association of Kazakhstan
(Almaty) provided to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) the copy of letter
of the Ministry of Finance of April 11, 2009 # ДГ3-3/4437.
In the mentioned letter addressed to FIAK and on unknown to KASE reasons
with no signatures, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan
informed on the following:

S. Akhmetov of March 31, 2009 ... NWF Samruk-Kazyna was entrusted to
ensure till April 7, 2009 funding of Doszhan Temir Zholy (DTZ) to repay debt

subcategory of "Non-rated Debt Securities" category, DTJLb1; KZT1,000,
KZT30.0 bn; August 2, 05 - August 2, 28, the annual coupon indexed on the
inflation rate, 19.95 % APR for the current coupon period, 30/360) of
Doszhan Temir Zholy (DTZ) (Almaty) was made a default on interest
payment for the third coupon period (from August 2, 2007 to August 2, 2008).
