Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Eximbank of China sign framework agreement on intention of USD5 bn. credit line

/KASE, April 17, 09/ - Development Bank of China (Astana), securities of which
are listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press

Quotation beginning
On April 16, 2009 in Beijing within the frame of the state visit of Kazakhstan
President N.Nazarabaev to China a Framework Agreemet on intention of a credit
line was signed between Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Chinese
Eximbank.
The Framework Agreement was signed at presence of heads of the two states by
Kazakhstan bank chairman Kayrat Kelimbetov and Eximbank President Li
Zhuogy.
According to the Framework Agreement Eximbank is intending to provide an up to
USD5 bn credit line to Development Bank of Kazakhstan. The credit line will
allow credits for up to 15 years targeted at development of energy, transport
and communications infrastructure, and implementation of prospect projects in
metallurgy, chemical and oil and gas industries in Kazakhstan.
