/KASE, April 15, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), shares of which are listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), issued a statement today: Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008., April 14, 2009 the Company acquired 98,000 global depository receipts ("GDR") on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of USD16.3235 a GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme the Company has purchased in aggregate 4,324,688 GDR and 76,917 common shares.
