Wage level in Republic of Kazakhstan in February 2009

/IRBIS, April 14, 09/ - Statistics Agency of Republic of Kazakhstan released today the information message on wage level in February 2009 at it official website: Quotation start In February 2009 average nominal wage per employee was KZT61.793 and increased compared with the corresponding month of last year by 13.2 %, in real terms - by 4.1 %, in January-February - respectively KZT61.460 and by 12.7 %, real wage index was 103.7 %. In the industrial structure still the highest wages are kept in financial activities - KZT139.3 th. (in 2,3 times exceeds the national level), in the mining industry - KZT105.7 th. (in 1.7 times ), in operations with real estate - KZT93.7 th. (in 1.5 times), as well as in transport and communications - KZT80.8 th. (in 1.3 times). The lowest wages are retained in agricultural and fishing - KZT27.4 th. and KZT25.6 th., which is lower than the average in the country in 56-59 %. At regional level the highest wages are kept in the Atyrau oblast - KZT117.0 th., that is 1.9 times higher than the average. In North Kazakhstan region its value amounted to KZT40.9 th., Zhambyl - KZT42.0 th., Akmola - KZT42.1 th., what is 32-34 % below the national average. Quotation end [2009-04-14]
