/KASE, April 14, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC (Astana), shares of which are listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), issued a statement today: Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on 13 April 2009 the Company acquired 430 of its ordinary shares (KASE:RDGZ) on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange at an average price of KZT 14,866.88 each. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 4,226,688 GDRs and 76,917 ordinary shares.
