/KASE, April 3, 09/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) determined top
operators of purchase and sale government securities (GS) market in March of
2009 (except for the Kazakhstan National Bank).
28 companies made deals on the market in March 2009. The table below
shows top-10 KASE category "K" members (all headquartered in Almaty, unless
specified otherwise). The top10 accounted for 69.9 % of trades volume of the
market.

The "top-10" newcomers relative to February 2009 are Centras Securities,
Kazpost, Astana-finance, Open accumulative pension fund Otan (Subsidiary
of ATFBank) and Alliance Bank, having replaced:
- Eximbank Kazakhstan (the fifth in February);
- Eurasian Bank (the sixth in February);
- Eurasian Capital (Subsidiary of Eurasian Bank) (the eighth in February);
- Pension Assets Management Organization Zhetysu (the ninth in February);
- Brokerage company Astana-finance (the tenth in February).
The table below indicates most active KASE category "K" operators during three
initial months of 2009. 44 companies made deals on the market in the period.
The "top-10" accounted for 66.2 % of trades volume on the GS purchase and sale
market.

according to the KASE internal document "Methodology of Kazakhstan Stock
Exchange Members Activity Indicators Calculation of (Methodology) with
account to principle amendments made by the KASE Board decision of
February 23, 2009.
