/KASE, March 13, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), shares of which are listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), spread an information message: Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on March 12, 2009 the Company acquired 45,000 global depository receipts ("GDR") on the London Stock Exchange at an average price оf USD13.3807 a GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 3,299,580 GDRs and 49,622 common shares.
