/KASE, March 3, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), shares of which are present in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) official list, disseminated today a press release on the following: Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on March 2, 2009 the Company acquired 83,000 global depository receipts ("GDR") on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of USD12.0989 a GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 2,696,555 GDRs and 49,622 common shares.
