/KASE, February 25, 09/ - KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (Astana), shares of which are present in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) official list, disseminated today the press release on the following: Quotation start JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on February 24, 2009 the Company acquired 30,939 of its global depositary receipts ("GDRs") (LSE:KMG) on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of $12.2553 per GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 2,354,660 GDRs and 49,622 ordinary shares.
