E. Shaykenov appointed as acting Chairman of Management Board of Subsidiary of BTA Bank -Temirbank (Kazakhstan)

/KASE, February 25, 09/ - Subsidiary of BTA Bank -Temirbank (Almaty), a company listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release: Quotation beginning On February 24, 2009 according to results of ballot voting of directors of BTA Bank subsidiary - Temirbank a decision was made to appoint Erzhan Shaykenov member of the Management Baord of Temirbank as Acting Chairman of the Management Board, since March 2008. E. Shaykenov substitutued Ablakhat Kebirov. In addition, according to the decision of the Board of Directors of Temirbank Marlen Zhakezhanov former head of internal audit service of Fund of Sustainable Development Kazyna became a member of the Management Board. The management of Temirbank believes the bank will enhance its market positions in 2009 including thanks to an indirect support of Fund of national wellbeing Samruk-Kazyna. Erzhan Shaykenov was born July 26, 1978 in Almaty. He graduated from Kazakh State Management Academy, faculty of International economical relations; he received an MBA in Banking and International Finance in Cass Business School, City University, London, Great Britain. Earlier he worked in ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan and ATFBank in project and corporate financing, held positions of Vice-President for Finance of FC Romat LLP, sales department director, and managing director in Temirbank. Marlen Zhakezhnov was born on December 13, 1969 in Kostanay. In 2006 he received an MBA degree in the University of International Business (Almaty). He held positions of deputy director of department of banking supervision of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, director of Akmola regional branch, Taldykorgan regional branch, internal audit department of Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan, a chief of internal audit service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, director of internal audit service of Fund of sustainable development Kazyna.
