/KASE, February 24, 09/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) determined
leaders of exchange government securities (GS) purchase and sale market in
Kazakhstan for January 2009.
Below are the "top-10" KASE category "K" members (headquarters of all
companies are located in Almaty, unless otherwise specified). In total in
conclusion of deals on corporate bonds purchasing-selling, excluding the
National Bank, in January 2009 participated 30 companies. The stake of the
"top-10"accounted for 47.4 % of the Exchange GS secondary market trades
volume.

The "top-10" newcomers in relation to December 2008 are Eurasian Bank,
Eximbank Kazakhstan, Asyl Invest, Subsidiary Bank RBS (Kazakhstan), OIMPA
Zhetysu and Delta Bank, having replaced:
- Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan (the fourth in December);
- Open accumulative pension fund Otan (Subsidiary of ATFBank) (the sixth in
December);
- Bank CenterCredit (the seventh in December);
- Alan Securities (the eighth in December);
- Subsidiary of BTA Bank - Temirbank (the ninth in December);
- Centras Securities (the tenth in December).
KASE draws attention that the exchange GS market operators activity ranking
shown in the table was developed in compliance with the KASE internal
document "Methodology of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Members Activity
Indicators Calculation" (Methodology), considering principal amendments
made to the Methodology by KASE Board of February 23, 2009.
