/KASE, February 24, 09/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) determined top
operators of the exchange shares purchase and sale market in Kazakhstan for
January 2009.
The table below shows ten most active KASE category "P" members (all
headquartered in Almaty, unless specified otherwise). 43 companies concluded
deals in the share purchase and sale market in January 2009. The stake of the
"top-10" accounted for 80.4 % of the secondary exchange share market turnover.

The "top-10" newcomers in relation to December 2008 are Alan Securities,
Kazkommerts securities (Subsidiary of Kazkommertsbank), Subsidiary of
Nurbank MONEY EXPERTS and Financial company REAL-INVEST.kz, having
replaced:
- Asia Broker Services (the second in December);
- Astana-finance (Astana) (the fifth in December);
- Asyl Invest (the sixth in December);
- BCC Invest - Subsidiary of Bank CenterCredit (the tenth in December).
KASE draws attention that the exchange shares market operators activity ranking
shown in the table was developed in compliance with the KASE internal
document "Methodology of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Members Activity
Indicators Calculation" (Methodology), considering principal amendments
made to the Methodology by KASE Board of February 23, 2009.
