Quotation beginning JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on 28 January 2009 the Company acquired 25,000 of its global depositary receipts ("GDRs") (LSE:KMG) on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of $13.1900 per GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 989,073 GDRs and 35,463 ordinary shares.
