Quotation start JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("the Company" or "KMG EP") announces that pursuant to the Share Buy Back Programme commenced on 24 November, 2008, on 23 January 2009 the Company acquired 19,500 of its global depositary receipts ("GDRs") (LSE:KMG) on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of $12.9769 per GDR. Since the start of the Share Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregate 874,073 GDRs and 34,463 ordinary shares.
