Kazakhstan production grows 2.1 % in 2008 (+4.5 % in 2007)

/REUTERS, Almaty, January 14, 09/ - The growth rate of the industrial production in Kazakhstan in 2008 reduced to 2.1 % compared to growth by 4.5 % in 2007, Statistics Agency informed. Kazakhstan economy, suffered from the world financial crisis, showed insignificant growth during the whole 2008 and several fields saw decrease. "Processing industry, where index of actual volume made 97.4 % downgraded the rates of industrial production" - the message says.
