/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, January 13, 09/ - The Government of Kazakhstan decided to create a national mining company Tau-Ken Samruk, the government source informed journalists. "Today the Government of Kazakhstan decided to create a national mining company Tau-Ken Samruk" - he said. According to him, stake block of shares of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC), Kazakhmys, Russian-Kazakhstan JV Bogatyr are supposed to be transferred under the control of the mentioned company. As informed, October 13, 2008 speaking at the expanded government session, the President Nursultan Nazarbaev ordered to create companies on chemical and mining fields' development on the basis of state fund Samruk- Kazyna. "In instruct new holding to create within a month the company, which will be engaged in projects in chemical field. Another project should be creation of mining holding company on the basis of state bock of shares of Kazakhmys, ENRC, projects of Bogatyr Access Komir and other deposits, which are in developing stage" - N. Nazarbaev said. Later, December 10 the head of the fund Samruk-Kazyna Kairat Kelimbetov informed on adoption of corresponding Resolution of the Government to create the national mining company. "Mining company is creating very easy - it will have the status of national company, we prepared the draft law of the Resolution and as soon as the Government adopts it, mining company will be created" - K. Kelimbetov said. He explained that mining company will head the stake of the Government in "current major conglomerates" and mining projects. At that, the national atomic company Kazatomprom, according to the head of Samruk-Kazyna, will also enter this mining company till the end of the year. According to Decree of the President "On measures to provide competitiveness and sustainability of national economy", dated October 13 National atomic company Kazatomprom, ENRC, corporation Kazakhmys, Kazakhstan Mortgage Company, Kazakhstan mortgage credits guaranteeing fund and all seven social-entrepreneurial corporations (SEC): Saryarka, Ontustik, Ertis, Zhetysu, Kaspiy, Tobol, Batys entered the list of JSC, which state block of shares will be transferred in the authorized capital of Samruk- Kazyna. National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna - is a sate holding company, possessing and managing national companies in various economy fields, including oil and gas, telecommunication, transport and national development institutions. National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC was created in October, 2008 by means of merger Kazakhstan holding on state assets management Samruk and state fund of sustainable development Kazyna.
