/CORRECTED/ ANNOUNCEMENT: Kazakhstan issuer forum to be held in Almaty December 18-19, 2008

/KASE, December 10, 08, resent due to a new edition of the text/ - Kazakhstan Issuer Forum conference will be held December 18 - 19 in Almaty (Business center Old Square). The purpose of the event is discussion of problems and prospects of entry and operation of Kazakhstan issuers at domestic capital market. The conference program supposes plenary sessions and panel discussions on the first day and seminars on the second day of the conference. Current and potential issuers, representatives of state and regulating agencies (the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Activity of Financial Center of Almaty, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, Fund of National Welfare Samruk-Kazyna), representatives of professional participants of financial market (auditors, evaluators, financial advisors, dealers and brokers), and representatives of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange were invited for participation in the forum. Main subject-matters of the conference: - alternative sources of financing and funding possibilities for Kazakhstan issuers on the domestic capital market; - transparency and quality of financial statements, requirements to information disclosure in accordance with IFRS. Assets valuation difficulties; - building relations between issuers and auditors in respect of requirements of the draft of a new Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Audit Activities"; - difficulties and prospects of issuers entering the domestic capital market and operation thereat: new listing requirements, compensation of expenses on audit, preparation for listing, main questions at issue of serial securities. Cost of participation is KZT30,000, including VAT, and cost of participation in all events of the conference, hand-outs, food (three coffee breaks a day, lunch and cocktail on the first day of the conference).
