ANNOUNCEMENT: on December 18-19, 2008, Kazakhstan Issuers Forum will be held in Almaty

/KASE, November 24, 08/ - On December 18-19, 2008, in Almaty (the "Old Square" business center) will be held the conference "Kazakhstan Issuers Forum". The goal of this event is the discussion of problems and perspectives of entry and activities of Kazakhstan issuers on the domestic capital market. The conference agenda assumes plenary sessions and panel discussions on the first day and workshops on the second of the conference. For participation in the forum were invited existing and potential companies-issuers, representatives of government and regulating bodies (the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Activities of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, The Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning, Fund of National welfare Samruk- Kazyna), representatives of the financial market professional participants (auditors, valuators, financial consultants, dealers-brokers), and representatives of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange. Main topics of the conference: - alternative funding sources and funding possibilities for Kazakhstan issuers on internal capital market; - transparency and quality of the financial statement, requirements for the information disclosure in compliance with IAS. Assets valuation problems; - building up relations between issuers and auditors in the light of requirements of the new draft law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Auditing Activities"; - conditions for entry and activities of issuers on Kazakhstan stock market: new listing requirements, reimbursement of auditing costs, preparation to listing, main serial securities issue related problems. The cost of participation in then conference per person KZT30,000, including VAT. The cost includes participation in all conference events, hand outs, food (coffee-breaks three times a day, lunch and cocktail on the first conference day).
