EXPERT INTERVIEW: Default on the first infrastructural bonds in the country and prospects of further state-private collaboration development in Kazakhstan

/IRBIS, November 20, 2008/ - In September the default was announced on infrastructural bonds of Doszhan Temir Zholy JSC, which is building a railway line Shar - Ust-Kamenogorsk within the frames of concession agreement with the Government of Republic of Kazakhstan due to nonpayment of coupon interest for 2008 by the issuer. In two months, November 13, 2008 ATFBank JSC, as the representative of Batys Tranzit bondholders` interests, informed on cash deficit for forthcoming annual coupon interest payment on placed infrastructural bonds on March 30, 2009 by the results of issuer's financial status examination. Batys Tranzit JSC also within the frames of concession agreement is building inter-regional power transmission lines "North Kazakhstan - Aktobe region".
