Kazakhstan trading balance surplus increases to $25.05 bn. in January-August of 2008

/REUTERS, Almaty, October 14, 08/ - Kazakhstan external trade positive
balance (including CIS countries), by data of customs statistics without
account of non-organized trades, in January-August 2008 totaled to $24.546
bn., compared to positive balance $8.585 bn. a year earlier, the Statistics
agency informed on Tuesday.
Export in the similar period increased by 68.8 %, import, (accounting charges
on transportation and insurance) - by 18.1 %.

In January - August 2008 15.5 % of export and 46.1 % of all import delivery
(16.8 % and 44.4 % correspondingly, January-August 2007) came to CIS
countries.
Russia remains the main trading partner of Kazakhstan: its share in the total
volume of export in this period made 8.9 % and in import - 37.2 %.
