GS purchase and sale transactions on KASE make KZT608.7 bn. in 9 months of 2008 decreasing 30.1 %

/IRBIS, Vitaliy Tomskiy, October 6, 08/ - For the first 9 months of 2008, the volume of purchase and sale transactions in government securities (GS) made on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including bonds of national local authorities, totaled KZT608.7 bn. ($5,062.0 m.) and decreased relative to the corresponding period last year by 30.1 % (28.3 % in dollar terms). On the whole in 2007 the volume of corresponding transactions with GS on KASE was KZT992.1 bn. ($8,065.7 m.).
