Repo transactions volume on KASE decreases 11.8 %, makes KZT16,893.5 bn. ($140.4 bn.) in initial 9 mths of 2008

/IRBIS, Vitaliy Tomskiy, October 6, 08/ - In initial 9 months of 2008 the volume of the repo transactions concluded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) totaled KZT16,893.5 bn. ($140,351.5 m.) and decreased by 11.8 % (9.8 % in dollar terms) compared to the corresponding period last year. In 2007 the volume of corresponding transactions on KASE made up KZT25,700.6 bn. ($209,759.7 m.). Below is the table of volumes of repo deals made on KASE in 2008 grouped by months and turnover structure with comparable data for 2007 (m.
