/COMPLEMENTED/ September 12-13, 2008, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Holds the Second Annual Financial Market Conference

/KASE, September 16, 08, sponsorship data added/ - The second annual Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) conference on the financial market was held at the Ak-Maral Resort (the Kyrgyz Republic, Issyk-Kul Lake) September 12-13, 2008 KASE and Information Resource MediaPort LLP are organizers of the conference. The conference was sponsored by Vernyi Capital, RESMI Investment and Finance House, BDO Kazakhaudit, Tethys Services Kazakhstan LLP, Astana- Finance. The following issues were discussed during the event: - innovations in regulation of financial markets of Kazakhstan, Russian and Kyrgyzstan; - how, what and where to trade under the falling market, limited liquidity and growing inflation; - audit quality of issuer financial statements; - plans of Rating agency of Regional Financial Center of Almaty on development of the local market; - commodity exchange establishment in Kazakhstan, and the role of the commodity exchange in facilitation of financial centers. As at the previous conference, the main emphasis is planned to be made on interactive discussion of the announced topics. At the final of the event the participants came up with a number of recommendations and suggestions on solution of acute issues to market regulators. Approximately a hundred representatives of CIS countries' financial market subjects, government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, investment management and investment banks, auditing organizations and rating agencies participated in the event. In addition, stock market software designers took part at the Conference. The press conference on results of the event is to be held September 17, 2008 at 11:00 in Old Square Business Center, located at the address: 98, Panfilov str., Almaty.
