Kazakhstan trading balance surplus increases to $21 bn. in January-July of 2008

/REUTERS, Almaty, September 15, 08/ - Kazakhstan external trade positive
balance (including CIS countries), by data of customs statistics without
account of non-organized trades, in January-July 2008 totaled to $20.967
bn., compared to positive balance $7.598 bn. a year earlier, the Statistics
agency informed on Monday.
Export in the similar period increased by 64.7 %, import, (accounting
charges on transportation and insurance) - by 17.5 %.

In January - July 2008 15.8 % of export and 46.6 % of all import delivery
(16.7 % and 44.1 % correspondingly, January-July 2007) came to CIS
countries.
Russia remains the main trading partner of Kazakhstan: its share in the total
volume of export in this period made 8.9 % and in import - 37.5 %.
