Repo transactions volume on KASE decreases 16.4 %, makes KZT14,075.3 bn. ($116.9 bn.) in initial 8 mths of 2008

/IRBIS, Valeriy Khegay, September 5, 08/ - In initial 8 months of 2008 the volume of the repo transactions concluded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) totaled KZT14,075.3 bn. ($116,925.0 m.) and decreased by 16.4 % (14.4 % in dollar terms) compared to the corresponding period last year. In 2007 the volume of corresponding transactions on KASE made up KZT25,700.6 bn. ($209,759.7 m.). Below is the table of volumes of repo deals made on KASE in 2008 grouped by months and turnover structure with comparable data for 2007 (m.
