KazStroyService JSC to become independent-work contractor of Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline construction

KazStroyService JSC (KSS) became an independent-work contractor of
Asian Gas Pipeline LLP on engineering, maintenance supply and
construction of gas pipeline Kazakhstan-China, is said in Thursday's
disseminated message of the company.
According to message, KSS and Asian Gas Pipeline LLP signed a
corresponding contract by results of tender.
"One of company's demands is a "turnkey'' project realization, timely quality
work. The general contractor should have experience in international projects
and spotless name. KazStroyService suits all requirements" - Kayrat
Ospankulov, coordinator of AGP project managing group commented.
Construction project of Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline (AGP) is the part of
construction project of Central Asian Gas Pipeline (CAGP), which is the
system of natural gas transportation through 3 republics: from the oil gas
fields in Turkmenistan through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan up to the border
of China.
As informed, Kazakhstan-China pipeline construction, the major international
project in the sphere of energy regional partnership of Central Asian
countries was opened July 9, 2008 near Almaty.
Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline is the system of two parallel pipelines with
diameter of 1067 mm., 1304.5 km. in length. Kazakhstan part of gas pipeline
starts from the border of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and further on 650 km.
to the east on Kazakhstan territory and finishes at the border of Kazakhstan-
China, near Khorgos.
AGP system is realized for providing diversification of the ways of
hydrocarbon transportation on international markets. Kazakhstan-China Gas
Pipeline is supposed to provide gas to Southern Kazakhstan, Zhambyl,
Almaty and Kyzylorda oblasts.
The term of commissioning is June 2010. The pipeline's annual projected
capacity is 40 bn. cubic meters. At that, planned annual gas circulation is 4.5
bn. cubic meters; the end of 2013 will realize full loading.
KazStroyService is engaged in engineering, maintenance supply and
construction of projects for oil and gas sector in compliance with international
standards of quality, safety and control systems.
Company's main field of activity is oil pipelines, oil-processing plants, and
onshore infrastructure construction for oil and gas sector.
KazStroyService is functioning all over the Kazakhstan and also in India,
Turkmenistan Russia and UAE.
KSS owns 50 % share of Keppel, PSN, KGNT and 100 % share of
KazstroyInzhiniring-India; also aims at additional long-term acquirements.
Since creating moment in 2001 the company realized more than 100 major
projects, including construction of Atasu-Alashanku oil pipeline,
Karachaganak-Uralsk gas pipeline, Eskene-Kuryk export gas pipeline,
Kenkiyak-Kumkol oil pipeline.
Company's annual turnover in 2007 made $440 m. Since January 1, 2007
OGCC KazStroyService JSC is the member of International Pipe Line &
Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA).
