/INTERFAX-AFI, Moscow, July 12, 08/ - Kazakhstan National Oil and Gas
Company KazMunaiGaz will finish $2.5 bn. loan deal at the end of August, a
bank circles` source informed Interfax-AFI.
"The loan is scheduled to be signed on August 26 - 27, the volume will not
be increased," - he said.
As previously reported, in early June the company began $2.5 bn. loan
syndication under LIBOR+1.55 %.
The loan is drawn for 3 years and to be amortized in 2 years.
Credit Suisse and ABN Amro are the book-runners, the organizers are -
Barclays, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Societe Generale, SMBC, WestLB
and Deutsche Bank.
Assets from the loan will be allocated for refinancing of borrowed at the
beginning of 2008 $3.1 bn. syndicated loan to purchase Romanian
Rompetrol.
In January 2008 KazMunaiGaz closed the deal on $3.1 bn. borrowed
syndicated loan. The rate on loan made LIBOR+0.9 % APR; it was borrowed
for one year.
At the end of August 2007 KazMunaiGaz announced signing agreement with
Rompetrol Holding SA on purchasing of 75 % share in The Rompetrol Group
NV (TRG), based on its value at $3.616 bn. Rompetrol Holding will host 25 %
share in TRG.
