supply prices (sale) on housing in July 2008 that is compiled by IRBIS
agency according to the data of Statistics Agency of the Republic of
Kazakhstan (www.stat.kz). The selling prices are given in thousands tenge
per one square meter. Trends are specified in percent in relationship with
the last month.

IRBIS agency presents information from "Kazakhstan nedvizhimost" sites
(www.kn.kz) and "Krysha" (www.krysha.kz).
"Krysha" (www.krysha.kz) doesn't differentiate primary and secondary
markets. This source data on housing prices in Almaty is as follows

Judging by this source, in Almaty supply prices on housing in July
decreased in average by 16.6 %. Such sharp fall connects with the fact that
from the base of sites` ads nearly 2500 false advertisements were deleted.
As of August 11 there are nearly 9400 advertisements on housing sale,
4500 of which are free.
According to "Kazakhstan nedvizhimost" average supply price on
secondary housing market of Karaganda on July 28 made $669 per square
meter or equivalent KZT80.4 th. at the exchange rate. More detailed data of
"Kazakhstan nedvizhimost" on Karaganda is available in the next table.

Thus, according to "Kazakhstan nedvizhimost" prices on secondary
housing market of Karaganda on July decreased by 3.5 % in tenge
equivalent. Data as of end of July on Almaty and Astana are absent.
Thus, prices of official statistic exceed that of unofficial data. IRBIS
possessing information not allow making correct comparison with other
cities.
