The growth of industrial production of Kazakhstan slowed down to 3.3 % in January- July 2008/2007

/REUTERS, Almaty, August 11, 08/ - Rates of industrial production growth in Kazakhstan decreased to 3.3 % in January- July 2008, compared to the growth by 5.6 % in January - July 2007 the press release of Statistic Agency informs. In July 2008 production volumes remained on July, 2007 level and didn't increased (+0.1 %) compared to June 2008, the Agency informed. "Industrial production growth was observed in all regions of the republic except Karaganda (95.1 %), Akmola (96.8 %) and Kyzilorda regions (98.5 %) and also Almaty (89.8 %) and Astana (84.6 %) cities", - is said in the message. In current prices, the industrial production to the sum of KZT6.294 tr. was produced in January - July of this year. January - July 2008 mining production increased by 5.8 %. Electricity, gas and water production and distribution over this period increased by 9.4 %, the Agency informed. Production decreasing was fixed in processing industry, which in January - July 2008 made 0.9 %. At the same time production of flat section decreased by 6.7 %, copper refined - by 9.5 %, concrete - by 10.1 %.
