Repo transactions volume on KASE decreases 21.1 %, makes KZT11,482.2 bn. ($95.3 bn.) in initial 7 mths of 2008

/IRBIS, Valeriy Khegay, August 4, 08/ - In initial 7 months of 2008 the volume of the repo transactions concluded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) totaled KZT11,482.2 bn. ($95,309.4 m.) and decreased by 21.1 % (19.5 % in dollar terms) compared to the corresponding period last year. In 2007 the volume of corresponding transactions on KASE made up KZT25,700.6 bn. ($209,759.7 m.). Below is the table of volumes of repo deals made on KASE in 2008 grouped by months and turnover structure with comparable data for 2007 (m.
