Inflation in Kazakhstan decreases to 0.9 % in July 2008

/REUTERS, Almaty, Tatyana Seroshtanova, August 1, 08/ - Inflation in Republic of Kazakhstan in July 2008 made 0.9 % compared to 1.2 % in June, the Statistics Agency informed on Friday. Inflation in annual expression (July 2008 to July 2007) increased to 20.0 %, in average annual expression (January-July 2008 to January-July 2007) made 19.3 %. In January - July 2008 inflation increased from 5.5 % to 6.6 % for the same period of 2007. Growth of prices was fixed on diesel fuel - by 11.6%, petrol - by 7.3%, the Statistics Agency informed. In July on foodstuffs market prices on bread and cereals products grew by 1.8 %, rice - by 8.2 %, cereals - by 1.9 %, flour - by 1.6 %. Sugar prices grew by 2.7 %, butter and fat - by 1.2 %, meat products - by 1.1 %. Decreasing was fixed at eggs prices - by 6.8 %, fruits - by 2.0 %.
