USD/KZT rate remains stable, a little bit higher than a support level 120.05.
At that, we may expect some appreciation of USD/KZT on sharp oil fall on
world markets (on Wednesday $124.25 per barrel on NYMEX).
Decreasing of black gold prices provoked dollar appreciation against almost
all world currencies. Positive macroeconomic data from USA were quite
supportive as well. Today reports on GDP and employment are expected,
which is encouraging too. At the same time, Eurozone inflation pressure
growth is still affecting the unique European currency.
The dollar was quoted at 120.17/19 at the KASE day session at 12:19 p.m.;
the last deal was concluded at 120.18. The dollar was quoted at 120.17/24
on over-the-counter.
