disseminated today the press release of the following content:

Rudi Geerdink will replace Jurgen Rigterink as Chairman of the Management
Board and Country Head of ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan, a member of the RBS
group. The appointment is subject to all necessary legal and regulatory
approvals.
Rudi Geerdink joined ABN AMRO in 2000 from the financial services risk
management practice of the PriceWaterhouse. Within ABN AMRO, he has held a
number of management and commercial positions in Global Markets and BU
Europe. Most recently, Mr Geerdink was in charge of the E-Business Banking
initiative during its first year and was subsequently responsible for the
ongoing development and roll-out of this distribution platform. Mr. Geerdink
holds an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Twente, The
Netherlands.
Mr Rigterink, who previously served in a variety of senior positions in ABN
AMRO in Germany and Belgium and has led ABN AMRO Kazakhstan since February
2005, has decided to pursue career opportunities outside the Bank.
Over the last three and a half years, ABN AMRO positioned itself as the leading,
innovative investment bank in Kazakhstan. Benchmark transactions included our
role as Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner in the largest Kazakh IPOs for
ENRC and KazMunaiGas, the 1st public international securitisation of residential
mortgage loans originated in Kazakhstan for BTA Ipoteka, 1st GBP-denominated
bond in CEEMEA and 1st И-denominated bond out of Kazakhstan for
Kazkommertsbank and most recently, KMG's Kazmunaygas USD 3 billion
Eurobond, the largest ever corporate bond deal of the Central Eastern Europe
region and Emerging Markets. During this period, ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan
was recognized as the Best Loan House, the Best Debt House and the Best
Bond House by leading business editions and was presented a wide range of
other awards. Moreover, during the last year, ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan
increased its charter capital, enlarged its country geographical presence, and
established its own brokerage company.
Mr Rigterink personally contributed to the promotion of the country on the
worldwide stage as Co-chairman of the Image Enhancement Working Group
within the Foreign Investors' Council chaired by the President of the Republic
of Kazakhstan.
The appointment of Mr Geerdink underscores the long-term commitment of the
bank to the country. ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan will continue to invest in the
