/KASE, July 16, 08/ - DJSB ABN AMRO Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (Almaty), the member of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) by categories "B", "K" and "P", disseminated today the press release of the following content: Quotation start Rudi Geerdink will replace Jurgen Rigterink as Chairman of the Management Board and Country Head of ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan, a member of the RBS group. The appointment is subject to all necessary legal and regulatory approvals. Rudi Geerdink joined ABN AMRO in 2000 from the financial services risk management practice of the PriceWaterhouse. Within ABN AMRO, he has held a number of management and commercial positions in Global Markets and BU Europe. Most recently, Mr Geerdink was in charge of the E-Business Banking initiative during its first year and was subsequently responsible for the ongoing development and roll-out of this distribution platform. Mr. Geerdink holds an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Twente, The Netherlands. Mr Rigterink, who previously served in a variety of senior positions in ABN AMRO in Germany and Belgium and has led ABN AMRO Kazakhstan since February 2005, has decided to pursue career opportunities outside the Bank. Over the last three and a half years, ABN AMRO positioned itself as the leading, innovative investment bank in Kazakhstan.
