/IRBIS, Dinara Mukasheva, July 16, 08/ - By the results of trades
of July 15 this year:
- on NYMEX (New York) the price of Light Sweet Crude Oil mixture with
delivery in August 2008 decreased by 4.44 % to $138.74 per barrel;
- on ICE (London) price of August Brent Forties Oseburg futures fell
by 3.59 % to $138.75 per barrel
On Tuesday oil quotations sharply fell on expectations of USA economy
worsening. The reason was speech of the head of FRS Ben Bernarke on the
meeting of USA Senate bank committee on risk increasing for USA rates
of economy growth and inflation acceleration. As a result, traders took
it as a signal of possible decreasing of demand on oil in USA and began
to sell futures on oil delivery.
