Nearest oil futures prices surge by 1.73 % - 2.42 % on major world trading floors

/IRBIS, Dinara Mukasheva, July 14, 08/ - By the results of trades of July 11
this year:
- on NYMEX (New York) the price of Light Sweet Crude Oil mixture with
delivery in August 2008 increased by 2.42 % to $145.08 per barrel;
- on ICE (London) price of August Brent Forties Oseburg futures grew by
1.73 % to $144.49 per barrel
Increasing intensity of Iran-Israel relations heated the oil market: on Friday
there was announcement, that Israel operational aviation made training flights
on Iraq air space, practicing possible attack schemes on Iran positions. At
that, July 10 Iran made new series of rocket test within the frames of military
maneuvers, practicing for ground, sea and air aims elimination.
On the other hand, oil market situation was worsened by the announcement that
oil company Petrobras`s (PBR) staff in Brazil plan strike since Monday. It will
take 5 days; as a result, 42 drilling platforms activity will have to be
stopped.
