/KASE, July 10, 08/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) informed on
improvement of its membership status in the world federation of Exchanges
(WFE) from the corresponding to the affiliated member.
The decision of improvement of the KASE status was approved on June 9, 2008
by the WFE Board of Directors. The appropriate request was sent by KASE in
December 2007.
The affiliated ember status allowed KASE participating only in open events,
organized by WFE, and to receive information on the federation activities.
The WFE affiliated member status in compliance with the association
requirements is assigned to candidates, who showed themselves on the
international exchange sphere, and assumes readiness of the WFE affiliated
member to implement its activities in compliance with international exchange
trading standards during the following five years.
Acquiring of the affiliated member status is the mandatory requirement
for getting the full WFE membership.
