/IRBIS, Ruslan Dzubaylo, July 3, 08/ - For the first 6 months of 2008, the volume of purchase and sale transactions in government securities (GS) made on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including bonds of national local authorities, totaled KZT370.2 bn. ($3,073.0 m.) and decreased relative to the corresponding period last year by 26.08 % (24.52 % in dollar terms). On the whole in 2007 the volume of corresponding transactions with GS on KASE was KZT992.1 bn. ($8,065.7 m.).
