/KASE, July 2, 08/ - Kazpost JSC (Almaty) provided to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) the press release of the following content: Quotation start On July 1, joint-stock company Kazpost started mass issue of the VISA international payment system cards. Under the first issue will be issued 20 thousand cards, including at the expense of migration into the VISA system of its own card KazCard. The national post operation was admitted to the system Visa International as the associated member on December 20, 2007. Today financial services of Kazpost are used by more than one million Kazakhstan citizens. Through the network of Kazpost divisions, salaries are received by more than three hundred thousand people; about eight hundred thousand citizens of the country receive pensions and various types of social allowances. According to the opinion of Deputy Chairman of Kazpost Board Erserik Siyrbaev, the Kazakhstan market of payment cards is insufficient, almost half of the country population still do not have an opportunity to use modern up-to-date financial technologies due to the absence of the second-tier banks affiliates in small towns and countryside. Appearance on the market of the new participant's payment cards will allow solution of not only these problems, but will allow VISA card holders of other banks using their cards outside large cities. The international certification of the acquiring network is being completed, which consists of 62 cash dispensers and 1526 post-terminal divisions of Kazpost across the country.
