/KASE, June 20, 08/ - Bank CenterCredit JSC (Almaty), the listed company of
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided to KASE the press release where
informs on the following:

On June 19, 2008, Bank CenterCredit JSC (BCC) singed a loan agreement with
the German Development Bank DEG to the amount of 40 million US dollars for 5
years. Borrowed money is planned to fund enterprises of small and medium
businesses in such areas as processing industry, agriculture, transport, trade,
tourism, services. The bank believes that the borrowing under funding of
enterprises of small and medium businesses will strengthen its sustainable
position in this market of banking services and will allow the significant
increase its portion in the market.
German Development Bank DEG - Deutsche Investitions- und
Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, the member of the KfW Bankengruppe group,
acted as the creditor in this deal, is one of the largest European development
institutions, activities of which are aimed at funding of long-term projects.
More than 40 years DEG invests banks and private companies in developing
countries and countries with the transition economy.
Since 2003, CenterCredit implemented a number of projects with the German
Development Bank.
This deal is the bank's second borrowing, concluded with DEG under financial
instability on both the international markets and Kazakhstan. Thus, the first
deal - subordinated loan concluded in December 2007 to the amount of 40 million
US dollars for 7 years, borrowed resources were included in calculation of the
second tier capital.
Despite significant decrease of the access of Kazakhstan banks to international
capital markets, provision of such loans proves that Bank CenterCredit is
considered by foreign partners as the sustainable financial institute with
reliable reputation and balanced policy.
As of March 31, 2008, assets of Bank CenterCredit made up KZT849.5 bn., own
capital increased up to KZT73 bn., the bank's deposit base during three months
of 2008 increased by 7% and made up KZT335.7 bn. The bank income for the 1st
quarter of 2008 increased by 100% if compared with the 1st quarter of 2007 and
made up KZT2.5 bn. the bank's portion of loans issued to small and medium
businesses made up 41% from the entire loan portfolio.
Bank CenterCredit JSC has international ratings of agencies Moody's: Ва1 and
Fitch Ratings: ВВ-.
