Kazakhtelecom JSC (Kazakhstan) improves Megaline service

/KASE, June 19, 08/ - Kazakhtelecom JSC (Astana), shares of which are traded
in the official list of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) of category "A", provided

Beginning June 17, 2008 Kazakhtelecom JSC has improved network capacity of
inbound/outbound channels from 32 Kbitps to 64 Kbitps in case of excess of
monthly 10 Gbyte of inbound traffic for subscribers of bandwidth access to the
Internet by tariffs Megaline Hit, Megaline Light, Megaline Box.
To enhance loyalty of Megaline subscribers Kazakhtelecom JSC is improving
availability of bandwidth Internet.
A number of essential changes in Megaline service tariff have been made since
June 1, 2008:
Megaline Start, Megaline Hit, Megaline Light, Megaline Box packages were
speeded up to 256 Kbyteps for external resources.
Megaline Turbo package inbound speed has been increased from 512 to 1024
Kbyteps. Advance payment on this tariff plan has been increased to 2 Gbyte.
Megaline Start subscribers with 0.4 Gbyte advanced payment traffic will be
offered 0.8 Gbyte at the same payment.
To stimulate Kazakhstan content development Kazakhtelecom JSC has speeded
up access to/from company internal resources (IP-addresses, registered for
Kazakhtelecom JSC in RIPE) and for Megaline Start, Megaline Hit, Megaline
Light, Megaline Box on inbound and outbound channel to 512 Kbyteps. At that, all
Megaline subscribers are charged at zero rates for inbound/outbound traffic.
Currently, KazNet provides Internet-resources of various contents.
Kazakhtelecom JSC technical support helped launch first Kazakhstan blog-
platform www.yvision.kz, file exchange service www.filebar.kz, and Megaline
Challenge on-line games are regularly held on the Internet- platforms. Megaline
subscribers are not charged for traffic when using the resources.
64 Kbyteps (after exceeding 10 Gbyte limit) provides Megaline Hit, Megaline
Light, Megaline Box subscribers more convenience compared with 32 Kbyteps,
first of all, for so-called Internet-surfing (ordinary opening of pages for
reading).
