Statistics Agency: Industrial manufacturers' prices surge 8.8 % in May 2008

Prices and tariffs for energy supply on the whole for the month went up by 8.5 %, for oil - by 9.6 %, oil products - by 6.9 %, natural gas - 6.7 %, gas condensate - 6.3 %, coal - 3.7 % and for electric energy - by 1.7 %. In metallurgical industry over last month, the increase of prices was noted for ferroalloys - by 49.8 %, rolling of ferrous metals - by 11.1 %, copper - 3 %, and their decrease for precious metals - by 8.3 %, raw aluminum - 1.8 %. Foodstuffs, made in republic, had grown in prices for the last month by 2.6 %, fish - by 14.6 %, vegetable oil - 7.3 %, bread - 6 %, tea - 4.6 %, wheat flour - 2.6 %, cattle meat - 2.5 %, sugar - 2 %. Index of enterprisers-manufactures shows the dynamics of prices of industrial products, produced by Republican enterprisers. When building the index the scheme of weighting, formed on the basis of data on prices of products, produced by industrial enterprisers of the republic, in acting prices for a certain year is used.
