/IRBIS, Vitaliy Tomskiy, June 4, 08/ - For the first 5 months of year 2008, volume of purchase and sale transactions with government securities (GS) made on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including bonds of domestic executive bodies, totaled KZT312.2 bn. ($2,592.8 m.) and decreased relative to corresponding period of last year by 23.04% (by 21.20% in dollar terms). In the whole 2007 the volume of corresponding transactions with GS on KASE was KZT992.1 bn. ($8,065.7 m.).
