Kazakhtelecom JSC (Kazakhstan) informed on the next decrease of Internet access cost for telecom operators from June 1

/KASE, June 3, 08/ - Kazakhtelecom JSC (Astana), shares of which are traded in the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) category "A" official list, provided to KASE the press release of the following content: Quotation start Beginning June 1, 2008, Kazakhtelecom JSC implements the next decrease of tariffs for services of the broad banded access to Internet (Internet Service Provider, ISP). The cost of Internet traffic 1 GB depending on the generation volume was decreased by 35.6%. At the same time Kazakhtelecom JSC provides the telecom operators free of charge unlimited access to: - Kazakhtelecom JSC Internet internal resources; - Internet resources of Kazakhtelecom JSC clients, Kazakhstan telecom operators, connected to Internet access services, provided by Kazakhtelecom JSC; - Internet resources of foreign operators in central Asia, having partnership relations with Kazakhtelecom JSC. This measure will facilitate further strengthening on Internet services market of telecom operators that finally will allow the competition and decrease of Internet access cost for the end user. In addition, considering the growth of demand for Internet services in Kazakhstan and activation on the telecommunications market of providers, Kazakhtelecom JSC is interested in selling of Internet services through companies-sub-providers (ISP), which have the broadly ramified geography and certain market part. The company's goal is to stimulate the general tariffs decrease for Internet services by all market participants that will have beneficial effect on Internet services market development in Kazakhstan. We remind that for these purposes Kazakhtelecom JSC from September 2006 decreased Internet access tariffs for SIP-providers up to 11.83%. From October 1, 2006, was introduced the new approach to services tariffication, which allowed operators the required speed of access to Internet resources and paying only actually used traffic volume. From January 1, 2007, Kazakhtelecom JSC decreased Internet access tariffs for SIP-providers from 15 to 32% depending on the used Internet traffic.
