May 14, 2008, Almaty - Financial portal Homebank.kz broadens its services
spectrum, and introduces Electronic Digital Signature (EDS).
Managing banking accounts via the Internet or Internet banking is the most
dynamically developing area of banking service. Today by means of the Internet
banking we can pay for telephone and mobile communications services,
household bills, tax, open or cash a deposit, transfer the funds between the
card accounts, and, monitor banking transactions on the accounts during any
period.
Internet banking provides a plenty of advantages: first, saving time, as there
is no need to visit the bank in person, second, a user may monitor his personal
accounts on a round the clock basis, for example, monitor plastic card
transactions - any write off of the funds from the card account is immediately
reflected in account statements. Internet banking, WAP-banking, tele-banking,
bank kiosks - all of these modern types of distant financial services are
becoming more and more popular in Kazakhstan.
Kazkommertsbank was one of the first Kazakhstan banks to have offered its
Internet banking services in 2000 through the financial portal Homebank.kz. The
users of the portal have been enjoying the benefits of the portal for 8 years.
The portal developed as the Internet banking expanded: number of services
increased thrice during the last two years (105 services). The initial months of
2008 indicate that monthly 5000 new clients start to use the portal. The portal
Homebank.kz being more and more popular confirms this type of the banking
services to be exceptionally popular under the conditions of time deficits.
Financial portal Homebank.kz allows for the client of the bank to fast and
effectively manage their accounts, without going out of home or office. It is
very user friendly. As for today 143,000 users in Kazakhstan (each tenth
Internet Kazakhstan user) may claim the convenience of the portal. The portal
registers 14,000 visits per day. Most popular services are: mobile communication
services, cable TV, household services, tax and other budget payments.
In 2006 Homebank.kz won the National Internet award AWARD.kz - 2006 in the
nomination "Electronic commerce", and in 2005 it was the best in the nomination
"Net services".
The portal will please the users introducing Electronic Digital Signature (EDS),
and concierge services.
Using EDS key the client will be able to carry out any banking operations,
available in the bank, without visiting the bank in person. EDS - is the
analogue of the hand signature, giving an electronic document a legal force,
equal to the legal force of the paper document signed by the authorized person
and sealed.
EDS use will allow for Homebank.kz users:
- reducing the time, spent for transaction and document exchange;
- perfecting and making cheaper the procedure of preparation, delivery,
accounting and keeping documents;
- guarantying accuracy of the information;
- minimizing risk of financial losses thanks to increasing confidentiality of
information exchange.
One more service to be available very soon for users of Homebank.kz is the
Concierge service. The Concierge will assist users of the portal to book and
purchase tickets to cinema, book flowers, book a table in restaurant, arrange a
trip etc. The Concierge service will be available to the Homebank.kz users on a
round the clock basis.
Additionally Internet-Hypermarket Homeshop.kz has been operating at
Homebank.kz since 2007, being the biggest portal in Kaznet selling +60,000
services and goods. In Homeshop.kz you pay in any payment system credit card
Visa International, EuroPay(MasterCard/Eurocard), DinersClub, American
Express, and debt (electronic) cards, issued by Kazkommertsbank. It is
noteworthy that Kazkommertsbank is a full member of international payment
systems and has relevant licenses of these payment systems for all types of
processing.
Internet banking services expansion and new technologies introduction will allow
for Homebank.kz users solving many problems remotely, which is very important
