Nearest oil futures prices decreased by 1.82% - 1.89% on the major world trading floors

/IRBIS, Dinara Mukasheva, April 25, 08/ - By the results of trades of April 24
of the current year:
- on NYMEX (New York) the price of Light Sweet Crude Oil mixture with
delivery in June 2008 decreased by 1.89% to $116.06 per barrel;
- on ICE (London) price of June Brent Forties Oseburg futures decreased
by 1.82% to $114.34 per barrel
On Thursday oil prices decreased, which was provoked by US dollar rate
appreciation relative to the main world currencies - euro decreased to
$1.5661, British pound sterling to $1.9709. Dollar index increased from
71.848 to 72.621.
Mentioned appreciation was provoked by announcement of the head of
European Central Bank Zhan-Klode Trishe; by his words, ECB will make
efforts for restraining of the US dollar weakening relative to euro.
