Oil export from Kazakhstan grew by 6% in January - February of 2008/07

/REUTERS, Almaty, April 18, 08/ - Oil and gas condensate export from
Kazakhstan in January - February of 2008 grew by 6%, compared to
previous year, to 9.907 m. tones, Statistics agency informed.
Volume of oil and gas condensate export in monetary expression increased
by 70.8% and reached $6.3 bn.
In 2007, Kazakhstan increased oil production with gas condensate up to 67.5
m. tons from 65.0 m. tons in 2006.
Total volume of Kazakhstan export increased for first 2 months by 62.0% in
comparison with the same period of the last year and made $10.29 bn.
In January - February the balance of the trading balance sheet was positive
to the sum of $5.69.
The major positions of Kazakhstan export in natural and monetary
expressions in comparison with similar indicators of last year are given in the
table below:

The main purchasers of Kazakhstan goods within this period of time were
Italy - 17.8%, Switzerland - 16.2%, China - 9.7% and Russia - 7.9%.
