National bank of Kazakhstan described the GS market in march 2008

/IRBIS, April 9, 08/ - The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan in its regulative press-release, dedicated to the state of the republic's financial market, cited information about the state of GS market in Kazakhstan in March 2008. Quotation start In March 2008 the Ministry of finance offered 12 months' MEKKAM and also 9-years' long-term saving MEUJKAM for total amount of KZT36.7 bn. Effective yield on offered securities totaled: on short-term MEKKAM - 7.96%, on long-term MEUJKAM - 0.19% over inflation rate. Maturity of GS of Ministry of finance in March 2008 made KZT3.9 bn. As the result, their volume in circulation as of end of March made KZT586.0 bn., having increased in comparison with previous month by 6.7%. Issue volume of notes of the National bank in March 2008 compared to February 2008 increased by 0.8% to KZT188.7 bn. Yield of short-term notes decreased from 6.30% in February 2008 to 6.19% in March 2008. Maturity of notes of National bank considering remuneration payment for March 2008 made KZT156.8 bn.
